With a lack of football action to watch and be invested in, Leyton Orient have caused a significant stir on social media whilst also giving fans of the sport something to take an interest in during this imposed hiatus with the FIFA #UltimateQuaranTeam Tournament.

What started out as an idea posted to Twitter has now grabbed the attention of many. Orient media staff members Luke Lambourne and Dan Walker initially invited 63 other teams to participate in an online FIFA tournament on PS4, but the worldwide response from other clubs saw that number doubled to 128 teams competing in the knockout tournament.

The only criteria was for clubs to be on the game so they could play as themselves within the tournament, which has seen clubs such as Manchester City, West Ham United and Newcastle United from the Premier League enter.

In total, there are clubs from 16 nations involved in the tournament and there are even some professional players representing their clubs in the game. Crystal Palace’s Andros Townsend, Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell and Brighton and Hove Albion’s Neal Maupay all feature as the designated FIFA player for their clubs.

With nothing else to bet on, punters who wish to do so are able to place wagers on the FIFA #UltimateQuaranTeam Tournament, with odds available for every single team that has entered the tournament. There is even the option available for placing enhanced price wagers on multiple teams to win the games that they are playing on a particular day.
