Blood Cancer UK are urging people to keep staying at home to protect not only the 100,000 UK patients living with blood cancer but the overall figure of 1.5 million people in the ‘extremely vulnerable’ category. Since the lockdown period commenced around four weeks ago, the charity has seen an uptake in calls to its support line, around 200 a day and are looking to address patients’ most pressing concerns.
