Faith Matters

The programme will be a mixture of news, views, information, music and interviews focusing on the Mearns FM area.

The one and a half hour programme will be presented by: Louisa Greenwell, an undergraduate Divinity student at Aberdeen University, and Youth Convenor and elder at Dunnottar Parish Church, Stonehaven; and Margaret Hodder, a research postgraduate in Practical Theology at Aberdeen University and member of the Lay Ministry Team at St John the Evangelist Church, Aberdeen.

It is envisaged that there will be information and news slots during the programme; interviews with local clergy and others who are valued members of their church or faith community; a brief meditation/homily; \'my favourite hymn\'; music requests; etc.

Suggestions on further content are welcome, but one of the topics we hope to cover will be the 450th anniversary of the Scottish Reformation, when we will be interviewing local experts from The Church of Scotland, The Roman Catholic Church, and The Scottish Episcopal Church, to find out how their church views the Reformation.

The presenters invite information and news from all churches and faith communinties in the area.  News of forthcoming events should be sent to this email address at least 14 days before the event.

The presenters also invite CDs of religious music - particularly from local choirs and bands for inclusion in their weekly show.  Please contact us for details of where to send the CDs.

We are aware that we may have missed out some of the smaller faith communities in our area, so would therefore invite the recipients to pass this on to any others who might find this email of interest.

We look forward to hearing from you, and hope you will pass this information on to your congregations so they may join us on a Sunday afternoon.
